Age Groups for Domestic Competition for Season 2010/2011 |
Under 13 Girls: Ages 11 & 12 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 (11 years old on the day of competition) Under 13 Boys: Ages 11 & 12 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 (11 years old on the day of competition) Under 15 Girls: Ages 13 & 14 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 Under 15 Boys: Ages 13 & 14 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 Under 17 Women: Ages 15 & 16 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 Under 17 Men: Ages 15 & 16 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 Junior Women: Ages 17,18 & 19 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 Junior Men: Ages 17, 18 & 19 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 Senior Women: Age must exceed 20 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 Senior Men: Age must exceed 20 years as at 31st August/1st September 2010 The above age groups are for domestic competition and are the age group rules as per UK Athletics and recognised by the English Cross Country Association and are the rules used for The English National Cross Country Championships, Midland, North and South Area Championships and many league and inter-club competitions. UK Counties Athletic Championships and many County Championships (including the UK Cross Challenge series) use a different criteria for Junior Women, Junior Men, Senior Women and Senior Men. Very often these races are chosen as selection for European and World Cross Country Championships, therefore IAAF age groups are used with 31st December/1st January as at date. For clarification on these dates contact UK Athletics. Under 13 Girls, Under 13 Boys, Under 15 Girls, Under 15 Girls, Under 17 Women and Under 17 Men use the Age Groups listed above for all Cross Country Competitions outside of school in England.
