Important: Parking at the Nationals

You will all be aware that we have experienced a very wet winter and that XC courses have been “a little softer” than in recent years. At Weston Park, where our Championships take place on 24th February, the ground is very wet, and we have had to relocate the car parks. Unfortunately, access and parking information has already been sent to Clubs, but this has from today changed. CLUBS WILL RECEIVE UPDATED DETAILS, shortly.
With the help of Weston Park, we have located different parking areas, these areas will entail a 10-15 minute walk to the event infrastructure, so you are advised to arrive early.

There will also be a £5 per car charge and this is CASH ONLY so come prepared. No cash means no entry.
If you are the person in your Club who transports the Club Tent, then you will need to apply for a special permit to get closer to the allocated tent area, you will pass through the pay lanes and then be directed elsewhere. Details will be published in the next few days.

To apply for a permit please email John Temperton at and provide the name of the club, the name of the driver and the vehicle registration number

We are sure you understand the difficulties with finding suitable parking at this time of year, and we are grateful for the co-operation received from Weston Park with this. We will keep everyone updated via the English Cross Country Association Facebook page and our website.

PLEASE NOTE ALSO that due to road works on the nearby M54 that traffic will be diverted onto the A5 so please allow time for this with your own journey to Weston.

The Championships are at Weston Park, Weston Under Lizard, Staffordshire TF11 8LE. Weston Park, Weston-under-Lizard is situated on the south side of the A5.

Vehicles coming from the North and South should use the M6 and get off at Junction 12, Gailey and take the A5 sign posted Telford. From the South DO NOT follow sat nav along the M54. Coming from the East use the A5 and head for Telford. The park is situated about 7miles from the motorway. The Gate for these vehicles to enter the park is known as Lichfield Gate. There will be signs situated on the A5 prior to the entrance. What3words code is Slider.segments.perfectly

Coming from the West (Telford). Use the A5 and go past the main gates and past the traffic lights at Granary Gate until you come to Blue gate. There will be signs on the A5 prior to this gate. What3words code is Growth.flickers.atom

All coaches and minibuses should enter through the Granary Gate. What3words codes is Friends.nudge.tiger

Anyone with a tent drop off permit should enter through either Lichfield Gate or Blue Gate and then after the pay lane they will be directed to turn right to the tent drop off area.
