You will all be aware that we have experienced a very wet winter and that XC courses have been “a little softer” than in recent years. At Weston Park, where our Championships take place on 24th February, the ground is very wet, and we have had to relocate the car parks. Unfortunately, access and parking information has already been sent to Clubs, but this has from today changed. CLUBS WILL RECEIVE UPDATED DETAILS, shortly.
With the help of Weston Park, we have located different parking areas, these areas will entail a 10-15 minute walk to the event infrastructure, so you are advised to arrive early.
There will also be a £5 per car charge and this is CASH ONLY so come prepared. No cash means no entry.
If you are the person in your Club who transports the Club Tent, then you will need to apply for a special permit to get closer to the allocated tent area, you will pass through the pay lanes and then be directed elsewhere. Details will be published in the next few days.
To apply for a permit please email John Temperton at jtsunnybank@gmail.com and provide the name of the club, the name of the driver and the vehicle registration number
We are sure you understand the difficulties with finding suitable parking at this time of year, and we are grateful for the co-operation received from Weston Park with this. We will keep everyone updated via the English Cross Country Association Facebook page and our website.
PLEASE NOTE ALSO that due to road works on the nearby M54 that traffic will be diverted onto the A5 so please allow time for this with your own journey to Weston.
