Remembering Pat Green

The English Cross Country Association are sad to announce that one of our former Presidents (2013), Pat Green has passed away.
Pat and her husband Jim, who died in 2018, were members of Liverpool Pembroke and Sefton, and later Liverpool Harriers and closely involved with Merseyside County AA.
For many years she was the women’s referee at the Great North Run and at the London Marathon, and was highly regarded in our athletics as a national field official, and off track endurance official.
She was a mentor to many of our senior officials.
She became a life vice President of the AAA and was head of the GB Junior Commission – and headed up all the GB Junior Teams for many years.
