7th Annual Open Meeting 2014

The 7th Annual Open Meeting of the ECCA will be held at the SMART ASTON COURT HOTEL,

MIDLAND RD, Derby DE1 2SL on Saturday 17th May 2013at 12 noon. The Conference Room is on the

ground floor of the Hotel, tea and coffee will be available from 11:30.

Agenda

1. Apologies for absence

2. Chairman’s welcome and confirm the President for 2014/15 and then pass the Chain on to Ian Byett, nominated by the South of England AA.

3. Chairman’s report.

4. Honorary Treasurer’s report and financial statement.

5. Election of the Chairman, for a 3 year period, John Temperton has been nominated by 2 Clubs and an Association and is duly elected.

6(i). Election of General Committee Members, one third of the Committee is due for election. Roger Everton, Malcolm French, Mary Hodges, Les Outwin and Mick Robinson have been nominated by various Clubs and are duly elected.

(ii) Vacancies exist on the General Committee and nominations from the floor will be accepted.

7. Confirm the 2 nominations from each of the bodies representing Cross Country in the Midlands, North and South. These are Midlands, Peter Burns & Rita Brownlie, Northern Athletics, Steve Gaines & Arwel Williams and the South of England, Chris Stott & Eric Nash.

8. Consider a proposal from Newham & Essex Beagles AC:

The current restriction on the number of Foreign athletes eligible to score should not apply to athletes who have attained Permanent residence in the UK as defined in UKA Rule 5 (6) and have been registered as such with UKA. The onus will be on clubs to provide suitable evidence of residence to the race referee if required – copies of utility bills, Council tax bills, immigration visas etc. The Chairman will then adjourn the Open Meeting and then commence General Committee business

9. Minutes of the October General Committee meeting and matters arising.

10. Reports on the 2013/2014 Championships and recent Championship Committee meetings and report on venues for the season ahead.

11. Winter Fixture list.

12. Reports on International Fixtures.

13. UKA, EA, AAA. English Schools and Area reports.

14. Any other business and dates of meetings in the next 12 months.
