We are delighted to announce that at our Annual Meeting on Saturday, last year’s President Bill McGuirk (North Area) passed his Presidency to the Midlands nomination for the role, Basil Heatley.

Basil is one of the greatest cross country and marathon runners to have represented both England and GB. He followed his athletics career with many years in the administration of our sport, and we very much look forward to Basil’s involvement in the coming year.

Our grateful thanks go to Bill for his work and good humour this year.
